Surgical treatment, both radical and palliative (radiofrequency ablation, cryotherapy, transarterial chemoembolization, irreversible electroporation by Nanoknife) is aimed at patients with tumors of the liver and bile ducts.

High volume of liver transplantation in adult patients per year in Poland.

The only national living related liver transplant program in cooperation with the team of pediatric transplant surgeons from the Memorial Childrens Hospital in Warsaw.

A full range of general surgery operations with particular reference to surgical oncology of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus carcinomas, stomach cancers, pancreatic cancers, colorectal cancers).

Treatment of portal hypertension, cirrhosis and other liver diseases – endoscopic treatment of esophageal varices, percutaneous transhepatic portosystemic venous anastomosis arrangement (TIPS).


Non-operative treatment of advanced esophageal neoplasms.

Adverse suppression of bleeding from stomach ulcers or duodenal ulcers.

Laparoscopic surgery (laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic hernioplastyka, laparoscopic fundoplication, laparoscopic treatment of simple cysts, liver resections, laparoscopic liver resection, laparoscopic upper and lower gastrointestinal procedures, diagnostic laparoscopy).


Program for pathologically obese patients: Qualification, assessment and surgical treatment of pathological obesity. Outpatient follow up.

Endoscopy Unit: endoscopic diagnosis of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, diagnostics and treatments for biliary, ERCP, stenting of biliary ducts.

Ultrasonography Unit: Diagnostic imaging of abdominal organs and gastrointestinal tract.

Surgical Intensive Care Unit – step down treatment: monitoring and patient management directly following surgery and liver transplantation. Management of patients with acute liver failure.
